JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Family Therapist with a heart for preventive work!

With us, you will have the opportunity to help implement the new social services act in practice. The focus is on early interventions, accessibility, and children's rights, and we need you who want to help create security and hope for families in our municipality.

What does the role entail?

Your responsibilities include providing support through interventions both as a service to citizens and through assistance from social services. We work with families both in our premises and at home with the families. The work involves close collaboration both internally and with external actors in the field. Our ambition is to further develop preventive work. Guidance from an external supervisor is offered continuously.

Work outside of office hours occurs regularly.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with at least a two-year post-secondary education in social work, a degree in social work, or another education deemed equivalent. We seek someone with experience working with support for families. Experience in social services is an advantage. We work with various parent groups, and training in group activities is a merit.

As a family therapist, you are secure in your professional role and can meet people in need of social services support and help in a clear and trustworthy manner. We place great importance on how we meet the individuals seeking our help, so personal suitability is important. As a person, you are used to taking responsibility for your workday, planning, and completing your tasks. You are confident in yourself and can handle stressful situations. The work is varied and places high demands on competence and flexibility. You see opportunities in changes, are driven, meticulous, and can handle a high workload. You are independent, have good collaboration skills, and are interested in personal and professional development.

As a family therapist, you meet children and parents in everyday life, support them in difficult situations, and strengthen the family's own resources. You work closely with schools, preschools, and other actors to make a difference together.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
